Sesame Street’s El Patito is a Hit Parody of Despacito

Despacito is the biggest hit of the summer and Sesame Street thinks so too!

There is no denying this summer’s top charting mainstream mega hit was ‘Despacito‘ which catapulted Reggaeton, pop artists Luis Fonsi and Dandee Yankee into mainstream household names – the whole world was first wanting to know what Despacito meant then had people saying it. According to USA Today, it was the most streamed music video of all time.

So when the longest running children’s show Sesame Street comes out with a parody in bilingual Spanish/English lyrics, we prop up and listen! So do the niños! Could we see ‘El Patito‘ sticking around for a while as an updated version, considering the original ‘Rubber Duckie’ sung by Ernie and Bert was released in the 1970s both in English and Spanish?

Bring the familia together and have a great time with this charming parody guaranteed to make you all smile!
